Message to cardiff ticket holders

Hello to any of you who have booked tickets to come see us in Cardiff this Friday. I've had a few messages from people indicating that they are expecting a regular Guillemots gig and a quick scour of the web shows that a lot of ticket sites have just been listing our show as such. However, it's actually an improvised soundtrack to a film, in collaboration with Soundtrack film festival. So we're worried that - whilst the night should be really fun and exciting in itself - a lot of you will turn up expecting a set of songs and be rightly annoyed when you see us making drones and suchlike for two hours.

We're doing our best to sort out a space for some sort of brief acoustic set after the show so that if any of you have turned up wanting to hear songs, we can at least play a few for you. So hopefully that will happen on the night. But if you'd rather not turn up after knowing that this isn't a regular set we're doing, we've been told that you can contact your booking agent and get a refund if the gig was falsely advertised.

Really sorry for this confusion - and also really sorry we weren't able to play as part of our main tour in Wales this year .. we had really wanted to and will make sure we visit you in 2012.

And sorry for the rushed nature of this note too, as it's being written in a hurried state in a studio in-between listening to trombones and things.

Bandstand Busking

Back in June, Guillemots were due to perform for Bandstand Busking outside the Royal Festival Hall as part of the Meltdown Festival in the glorious summer sunshine

As is the British way, on the day of the show, London was hit by torrential downpours and the performance took place inside the Royal Festival Hall instead. Were you there?

Guillemots announce Norway show

Tour presale begins + Cardiff show announced

A limited number of tickets for Guillemots UK shows are now available here. All tickets go on sale from the usual outlets tomorrow morning (Friday 5th August) at 9am.

In addition to the shows announced on Tuesday, Guillemots will be performing a special show, improvising a film rescore, at the Soundtrack, Film and Music Festival at The Coal Exchange, Cardiff on Friday 18th November. A limited number of tickets are available through the presale link now, with the show going on general sale tomorrow, when you will be able to buy tickets here or by calling 02920 230 130.
